As we are still learning with a head injury. There is never a dull moment. On the 7th of January, one month to the day of the accident, Kody fell in their kitchen at home and hit his head on the tile floor and got to go to EIRMC once again. After another CT scan they found no new injuries. It did earn him another night there though. He was pretty upset with himself, and knew he should have just listened to Shanda and stayed on the couch. He was more upset at the thought of having to put the surgery off to put his skull flap back on. We are also finding out that Kody seems to have a little luck on his side for a change. The surgery went ahead and happened this last friday. The night before it happened he really wanted to swing over and talk to Grandma and Grandpa. He knew it had been to long since his last visit. It was a good talk, and Grandma said she really appreciated it, and I know Kody and Grandpa did as well. The surgery went well, a few screws and plates and the plastic replacement fit right where the doc wanted. Kody was able to go home Sunday afternoon and is well on his way to recovering. The biggest worry right now is an infection. If he makes it threw this next week, he will be over the hump. His speech and motor skills are doing really well, his right hand is still weak but is getting better day by day.
Again, thank you to everyone that continues to pray for them. To be able to see the power of prayer first hand is completely humbling. Thank You To All!!!
